Poverty is crippling, be it urban or rural. When marred with domestic issues, the battle becomes nearly impossible to win, especially when you are all alone.

We enrolled Ameer Khatoon into our #LivelihoodProgram to give herself and her children the chance to lead a dignified life. Here’s her story, in her own words. She doesn’t have to scavenge for food anymore, in fact, she sells food to poverty struck now.

Zainab Fatima is a five-year-old girl that hails from the city of Rawalakot in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Like every other girl her age, she has her dolls, is always ready to play, loves to roam around and also aspires to go to school.

Many physically disabled persons don’t have the resources to buy a wheelchair that is appropriate for their needs but needy people in developing countries also deserve the dignity of being able to move freely around their homes and community.

We are not only installing water wells for just drinking water for the communities, but you can see how this water well helping the family daily household vegetables, Tharparkar Pakistan is facing droughts since last many years but these types of wells, helping the communities with nutritious food. Many of us have no idea what it’s like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink — even the water in our toilets is clean! But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

During August and early September, Pakistan was severely hit by monsoon rains and urban flooding resulting in 409 deaths, 402 injured and 305,151 fully or partially destroyed homes. While damage and casualties were registered in several districts, the province of Sindh was worst affected and declared an emergency on 25 August.
