There are numerous verses in the Holy Quran where Allah (swt) emphasised about taking care of orphans, protecting their wealth and honour, respecting them and feeding them. In Surah Baqarah, Ayat 177, Allah (swt) says:
“Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards the east or the west. Rather, the righteous are those who believe in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Books, and the prophets; who give charity out of their cherished wealth to relatives, orphans, the poor, needy travellers, beggars, and for freeing captives; who establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and keep the pledges they make; and who are patient in times of suffering, adversity, and in the heat of battle. It is they who are true in faith, and it is they who are mindful of Allah.”
Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Bring the orphan close to you, pat his head, and feed him with the same food you eat. It will soften your heart and fulfil your need.”

Any child living in poverty without father is a likely victim of child labour and forced marriage due to lack of access to education, healthcare, and nutrition.
